It’s been a busy spring this year and I haven’t posted in a little while so I thought I would write a few words to let you know what I’ve been up to lately. I can’t believe it’s April already! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and are enjoying warmer temperatures. We are still getting some snow here but I can see the daffodils and crocuses poking through the snow.
Between March Break, and Easter, and kids getting sick I have not had as much time as I would like to work. I have, however started a new project that I’d like to share with you today. It is called This Girl: A Diary Just for Girls. It is NOT, however, your typical blank page diary. It is a mindfulness journal for kids (girls 9+) filled with writing prompts, inspirational quotes, things to draw and color, and much more!

I have to admit I’m having a lot of fun with this book. It’s very girly and trendy and not at all childish. The entire book will be in black and white with plenty of space to color, doodle and be creative. Many of the writing prompts are for self-discovery and positivity, not only for self-esteem but to foster good ideals and values, pay-it-forward style as well as good sense. For example, one page might be for gratitude journaling, another a money tracker, and another page for acts of kindness. Sprinkled throughout are words of wisdom and images to color.
I still have a ways to go before I’m finished but, as always, I welcome your thoughts and suggestions.
And if you like the idea of this book but have a younger child, please have a look at THE BOOK ABOUT ME (suitable for both boys and girls age 5-8)
Have a great weekend everybody!
